I thought I was pro-choice until I was basically faced with this whole thing where I really thought I was pregnant and well… Basically the story was April's mom bought me a pregnancy test and when I took it I couldn’t look at it so she did and she comes back and just says "congratulations" and I was left there thinking "omg does that mean I am..." and my first thoughts were “take me to a clinic”. But OBVIOUSLY I ended up not being pregnant and now I try and not telling my opinion because although I'm pro-choice my choice would be to do it...I think. Well at age 15 year I would. Honestly, If I was 18 and done high school I wouldn’t. Ugh! IDK. Its such a conflicting feeling and emotions I have on the topic of abortion.
When you're young and faced with a huge responsibility like raising a baby, NO, it won't fuck up your life, but it will make it more dificult. Also, you have to consider young mothers are just babies themselves- they need to do their share of growing up as well. There's something so beautiful and miraculous about having a child come out of your body.. I mean, if you want proof of a miracle, childbirth is certainly the most amazing of all.
I too was faced with the decision because I thought I was pregnant... I planned out everything. I was gonna keep the baby. Do some night school, then eventually go to university. A child doesn't fuck up your life as much as it slows down your aspirations (if you have any).
I think it's important to be pro-choice whether or not you agree with killing fetus' or not. You gotta respect people's opinions, because being closed minded about such a hardcore issue will get you no where.
it is a very controversial issue....teenaged girls say they won't but most of them are never put in that kind of situation where they have to decide. i would never be able to bring myself to have one, but some people just aren't ready to take on the responsability of it...so i guess it all depends on the situation.
