Apologies for not reading this sooner! It's been a pretty busy week. Still, this was worth the wait. I'm so glad to see that the story is being continued. :-)

I admire the way that you've been able to put yourself in Connor's and Fern's shoes and provide realistic reactions to everything they're experiencing now that they're no longer trapped in the Cretaceous Period. It makes sense that Connor would have trouble focusing on what other people are saying and feel the need for some space on that first night back. I also think that Fern's panic the next morning makes complete sense. She's probably used to sleeping right next to Connor, so she would be scared if she woke up and couldn't see him.

I found it really touching that even Lester was gentle around Connor and made it clear to Connor that Fern has to be his priority. I found that scene in Lester's office really touching. I also really enjoyed Connor's reunion with Danny.

I can't wait to read the next chapter! :-)

Thank you, it was (weirdly) fun to write as I tried to think about spending 5 years somewhere quite like the Cretaceous and the effect it would have on someone. Expecially a child that knows nothing else.

Ah yes, good old Lester. I really wanted to touch on the protective almost fatherly side we sometimes saw in the show so hope it came across alright.
