Becker’s hand reached across the back of Connor’s chair as he leaned back in his own, balancing on the back legs with his feet in the air trying to steady his weight so that he didn’t fall backwards or slam forwards. As if poor Connor doesn't have enough on his plate already! Wow! I was expecting Jack to be angry and thought he might question why Connor survived and Abby didn't. However, I hadn't expected him to have caused so many problems for everyone at the ARC. It does make sense, though. I mean, this is someone who sold Rex to pay off a gambling debt, so I shouldn't be surprised that he would try to expose the ARC. Jack is a character who might have gained some wisdom and insight after his experiences, but I think the scenario that you've presented is much more likely.

BTW, I think your portrayal of Connor continues to be true to character and situation. I can understand why he's having so much trouble coping and connecting with other people.

Yeah, I wasn't overly keen on Jack in the series because of the whole Rex thing so I wanted to explore that side a little. Especially if that was him "behaving" because he had a big sister to tell him off, now he has no one.

Thank you! I'm so glad you think so. The things I tried Googling for inspiration on how he might be feeling, the only thing somewhat similiar would be deserted island survivors but there wasn't many modern-day accounts so tried my best to put myself in his shoes.

Thank you again for reading! :-)
