This latest chapter has a lot of emotional resonance. I found that scene with the boxes and photo albums really moving. It's nice to see a glimpse of the old Connor who is too distracted by his work to keep up a proper cleaning routine. I really like the image of Fern being similarly focused on the task of decorating her room. I'm probably being my usual dense self, but I'm curious about the tracker that Connor hid in the glovebox of Becker's jeep and why he's smuggling it to Jess. As usual, I'm looking forward to reading the next part.
