I want to stop eating again. I want to stick my fingers down my throat and throw up every time I've eaten, so I don't get any of the calories. I want to lose weight. I want to be thin. But I don't do it. I'm too old for this stuff, I'm 20 years old. I'm supposed to take myself and my life seriously now, and stop thinking things I know will make ( Read more... )

Um, I think you'd need to wear a sign if you went with that costume, because, while your explanation was great, it kinda comes across as, well, "I admire saucy street-walkers." Just a bit.

You could dress up as a great musician. I think it would be hilarious if you attempted to be Yo Yo Ma and carried around a cardboard cello.

Brain needs nutrients. Eating healthy food will make schoolwork do-able! Or you could not eat, drop out of school, and make a lot of money wearing that little ballet-witch costume on a street corner. (wink-not)

I ordered the ballet-witch costume, but I think it can be toned down in slutty-ness by wearing thick black tights and flat ballerina-shoes. And with a wand indicating I'm supposed to be a witch, I think it'll be okay. I'm completely out of other ideas. I have a hard time figuring out how I'm gonna be a musician at that party. Creativity is not my forté.

Okay, this is going to sound stupid and ummm...I can't think of the other word (you'd be at a loss for words too if you just spent the last couple of hours reading really awful papers that say the same thing over and over again). But being really thin is not all it's cracked up to be. You're cold all the time. You can't sit on anyone's lap because you have a boney butt. You get mocked because people think it's okay to mock someone's weight as long as they aren't overweight. And it's uncomfortable to have no padding. Not to mention all the other health issues that I'm sure Jen could attest to. As for why people want what is bad for them...I just don't know! It's a bit like my rant about why people smoke, isn't it? I guess that is a question you'll have to ask yourself, Ms. Psychology Major ( ... )

See, that's it, I KNOW how cold and painful being too thin is. I know what it does to your health. And part of me wants to be fit and healthy, but definitely not skin and bones, but I can't get rid of the voice telling me I really shouldn't eat. Even though I know how bad it is for me, even though I know losing weight could never make me happier. It's so stupid. And it's driving me insane ( ... )

Dress up as ME!!!! :) Get yourself a auburn colored wig and say things like, "hey y'all! yu goin' to the softball game t'night?"

Kat, being super thin just feels good to people like you and me...and we'll always want it even though there are unpleasant consequences, like being cold all the time (I'm still cold all the time and I'm not thin!) and losing gobs of your hair. It's a constant struggle and when life gets stressful, it's easy to fall into that type of thinking. Then you fight it off and write about it on LJ and go on with your life until the next attack. It's always lurking.

Haha, I think dressing up as you would require some explanation! Actually a couple of guys I went to school with once dressed up as each other. They printed pictures of each other's faces and stuck them on their own face. It was hilarious.
