Seriously, what do people do when they're sick? I'm bored out of my mind! I started coughing in the beginning of last week, and over the weekend it turned into a regular cold, and yesterday my head felt all stuffed up, and I couldn't think. Might as well have stayed home, but I didn't. So today I figured I might as well take a day off, stay inside ( Read more... )

Ugh. Being sick suckkksssss. I totally agree with you that it is really boring too. I'm not very good at sleeping all day, even when I am sick. The only time I semi-appreciate having a cold is when I'm at home and my mom waits on me (ie. want some ginger ale? want something to eat? warm face cloth? another pillow?)...but then after a while, I'm start doing things for myself because it drives me nuts to have people do things for me when I can (even if it takes me twice as long because I'm sick). Either that, or I start to feel guilty about her running around and just deny that I want anything to make it easier for me.

Hope you're feeling better!

P.s. I found the pizza box story quite funny and look forward to sharing it with my male friends. Or not. I'm sure that will lead to many sexually explicit jokes that will make me wish I hadn't said anything to begin with. Yes, I think I'll just keep this little tidbit to myself. :)

Juice!

I wish I had a mom around to get me extra pillows and tea... Anyway, doesn't matter now as I feel a lot better today, and I'm at school right now...

I definitely think you should share the pizza box story with your male friends. lol, they probably would make fun of it and make you wish you had shut up about it...

On a random note, something that bugs me: Why don't the international students show up for class? All of our classes are in English just for them, so they'll be able to follow, all the teachers prepare all their slides and everything in English, so they can't very well just switch to Danish when no English-speakers are present and the university does lots of stuff to make it easier for them. And then they show up for the first couple of lectures, and then they just gradually stop showing up. Today one girl was here, and she left after an hour. All of this, just for them, and they don't even care to be here.

So, was Martin drinking? or on cold meds. Too funny. That rant reminds me of a Scott Rant.

I'm sorry you're sick and bored.

Yay for social lives!

I'm never really sure if Martin has been drinking or smoking something or whatever... I don't think he does it that much, but sometimes he just seems weirdly blank. But it's kinda funny, and he's a really really nice guy. And what he drinks/smokes or doesn't drink or smoke is none of my business, really.

He may not drink at all--it may just be thinking deeply. I was just suggesting that the rant could have been brought on my alcohol or a cold medicine (I think you mentioned he was sick with a cold). I know that when I drink, it's easier for me to rant about a topic. It's funny actually. Hope you're feeling better!

I don't know what brought on the cold, but I don't think it was cold medicine... But it doesn't matter, it was funny. I'm feeling a lot better now, thanks. Apparently going out and getting drunk last night was just the right thing to do to get rid of the cold for good. :-D
