I'm not sure my autonomous nervous system is really aware that there in fact won't be a hungry tiger present in my exam later today.

I'm so nervous.

Is it too late to say I think the word is autonomic? You get to write the exams in Danish, right?

You're right, Stu. Duh. I don't know why I made that mistake, I friggin learned about the nervous system by reading about it in English. Suppose I forgot, though, it was a year ago.

Actually we get to decide ourselves whether we want to do our exams, both written and oral, in Danish or English. Most people choose Danish, but a few who are really good at English prefer that because all of our literature is in English, and that way you don't have to do the whole mixing languages thing. But I definitely wanted to do mine in Danish, I'm not that good at English.

It's an easy mistake, since we use autonomous as a word in normal talk, autonomic, not so much.

I still have a hard time believing you're "not that good at English." Sure, you make mistakes, but so do natives. I'm getting the feeling that you have higher standards of English speaking than we do.

Good luck!
