The best thing about cutting out caffeine and clearing your system out is what happens when you DO drink some coffee. Quit caffeine just before Christmas. Starting drinking it again - and hard - on the realisation that I'd rather be hyper-wired & sharp than dopey & calm! x

To me, the idea of life-without-caffeine is as unimaginable as life without water would be to a fish.

Sugar, OTOH, means little-if-anything to me. My kick comes from protein, followed by a state of meat-drunk torpor where I crave nothing more than gentle snuggles.

I spent so long hiding behind the buzz of caffeine as a false happiness in Uni that I am glad to know the calmer side. Yes you are tired when first give up but then once the body settles you realise you actually feel the same without it.

It is nice for the buzz on occasion though... It does make me a bit loopy though. I had a cup at the weekend when shopping with my Mum and felt light headed and giddy afterwards.
