Being a mod is not easy!

I ran into a really sucky member at trio_stillness while checking if people voted for themselves (which I admit I rarely do, mostly because I haven't encountered any problems before), I realize that veryevilpoptart did vote for her/himself. That's so sucky! I'd be embarrassed to vote for my own icons in competitions, some people have no shame.

Well...if it was me...I'd discount all the votes for those icons. Do you do weighted voting? If people have voted for one of theirs as first place and someone else as second, I'd bump the second up to first place, if you get what I mean. You could always leave a note with the results saying what you've done and why.

I've posted an explanation and disqualified the icon. Those who voted for it can also go back and change their votes.

But this person really annoyed me. She not only voted for her own icon in third place, but she voted for the same icon in 1st and 2nd. :o

It's a good thing I checked. I rarely do...

It's a pain in the ass to check, but I think it's going to be a must from now on for me. I felt like such a fool after seeing that she had totally cheated in the previous challenge as well! Grrr.

that sucks. Even when I'm allowed to vote for myself, I'm hesitant to do so. I'd never think about trying when it's forbidden let alone come in with multiple LJ's and vote for myself in three or four different places. This is why I'm kinda glad I don't do contests

Contests usually run smoothly, mostly because the majority of those involve also run contests, lol, so they do follow the rules. I wouldn't vote for myself even if I could, too. It doesn't seem right.

But it was really sad because the icons were good. And now she's out there, exposed -oh because I kinda posted that information at mod_stillness as well- and she had no need to do that in order to win.
