Sadly I didn't manage to capture the moon's occultation of Venus yesterday, but this evening I did get this
Stars in the upper right hand corner (I think) are from top to bottom, Rho Capricorni, Pi Capricorni and Omicron Capricorni. (Funky names!) If you can make out a dim star lust below and to the left of Rho, that's apparently HIP101040, according to my Starry Night program.
Technical stuff: Canon 400D, 2.5s, f/5.6, ISO800, 170mm.
I also tried some long exposure shots of stars, but at 5 seconds and above they seemed streaky. Roll on having an auto-tracking mount!
