Hey, I asked a coworker if he had any ideas to help you with this, and here's what he said:

"She should probably contact NC State. As far as I know, they are the
respository for all kinds of North Carolina animal and agriculture
governmental stuff. Something like this would presumably be registered
from there if there were a formal management plan. Whether she does that
or not, databases like web of science et al may not be as helpful as
checking with the public documents people at whatever institution she's
at. This sounds governmental.

not to put off answering. Other choices would be to search through the
actual catalog of Duke, UNC, UNCA, UNCG, and State to see if any theses
are listed that may be relevant. I imagine "Carolina" and "otter" is a
sufficiently unique set of keywords and would work as a search."

Hope that helps at least a little. Mwah.

And I'll actually add that you ought to try to get ahold of a public documents librarian at NC State and get them on your side. Explain what you need to know, and I bet they can tell you exactly what resource you'd need.

Thank you very much! I'll look our public documents librarian right away. I'll also search for university collections of online theses and dissertations.

Thank you 8 million times.
