1. beer:
   Something I love to drink. I like beer like I like wine because it has different flavors, and I like experimenting with new ones.
2. books:
   I have a pin (the only pin I have ever actually displayed) that reads, "Any book worth banning is a book worth reading." I can't say it any better than that.
3. cooking:
   I love to cook. I also love to eat. Cooking is one of those things I've been enamored with since childhood. I used to play "chef" but all my mom would let me use was salt and pepper cuz I was so young. So I'd make salt and pepper soup with leaves from outside. Heh. Nerdling.
4. fish:
   Another thing that's done it for me since childhood. I adore fish, and learning about them. I love to learn about their world, and I love to learn about their adaptations based on where they live. I love to imagine their cold, quiet lives. Love them. It's interesting to me what "does it" for people. For example, my brother-in-law loves birds, while I'm "meh" about them. Fish do it for me, though I bet many of you are like, "love? fish? WTF?"
5. george rr martin:
   The writer of perhaps the best fantasy series ever. They're certainly engrossing, surprising and intellectually interesting books. Every character is complex and makes good decisions. If you can't get past the complexity of the first book, you're missing out.
6. horror:
   Hah! I love a good scare.
7. lost:
   The season premiere is on tonight! Woot!
8. michigan:
   Where I grew up. A place I never appreciated until I moved away. Now I'm proud to tell people I'm from Michigan. I can't wait to take Adam there and show him around.
9. reading:
   sustains me.
10. sharks:
    The coolest fish ever. Well, maybe not, but certainly the first fish I was ever fascinated by. When my sister and I were kids and played "school," we'd teach each other about sharks. I can draw a mean shark, and know scary amounts about them.
