I did it! I am officially registered for "Principles of Wildlife Science" in the fall! It's not the same as actually being accepted into the program (I'm taking it as a perk of my employment), but it's a good step and I just can't believe I'll be taking a graduate class in the fall. That is awesome. Congratulations on the first step. Don't fret about getting into the program, just have fun with the process of getting there.

I'm just reading Prodigal Summer and your subject line really reminded me of the beginning. Have you read it?

I completely understand about how taking time off changes your perspective on classes. I had a completely different attitude in my classes here than in undergrad.

Science is very cool. I love the concept of science. I always knew I wanted to be a scientist of some sort, I just happened to pick astronomy. I'm not "in love" with astronomy, not as much as I'm "in love" with science. Looking back, I may have picked a different field, but I'm happy.
