Very compelling.

We are thinking of coming to Georgia in a few weeks...

Thoughts?

What's the occasion? I talked to Hurdle a couple times since I've been here. We discussed gettin together and eating some steaks somewhere and that you might eventually come to Georgia to hang out. He only lives about an hour drive from here. East of Atlanta. I keep having weird dreams about all of us reopening Zocchi.Sometimes we are shifting over old Zocchi wreckage getting ready to reopen and sometimes it's a newish building and I always have some strange since of fear and loathing about making the first sales calls to my old customers. I was gonna mention that to Mike to see what his thoughts were. I have these dreams at least once a week. I also had a dream about tornadoes ravaging the south the night before the Alabama tornadoes but that's another story.

The occasion is that we want to take a road trip with the kids. Y'all, Melissa, & Mike give us enough reason sto make Georgia the destination.

We are thinking perhaps the 15tho r 16th of March. The end of next week. That is Julian's spring break, so he wouldn'y miss school.

How does that sound? I still need that phone number...

Now that is a novel idea! I like the way you think. Some cheap sci-fi late night movie should be done about hillybillies who fix up junk cars A-team style to hunt down Bigfeets. And they have moonshine molotov cocktails and sawed off double barrel shotguns and wear coveralls with the little hammer holders on the side underneath the left front pocket. And they carry special Bigfoot killing hammers with notches in em for each downed yeti.

When I finally got around to dragging my uber-yankee hubby to Mississippi, it was cold and grey and raining...it felt just like friggin Boston. He's going to love these pictures, he's a total freak for abandoned places. I hope we can get back to the south at some point for him to really experience it all. Sometimes I miss it...just sometimes.

Oh, and abandoned houses reminded me, and now has me giggling, about Jeff the Doom Cow.

Oh, and the community about being poor is poor_skills. Sometimes there are useful posts, there are lots of them, you just gotta wade through them all. I think there is also a dumpster diving community somewhere here on LJ.

Abandoned places is sorta a hobby of mine. Urban exploration if you will. Now that I have a really good digi cam I can finally take really good pics of the places I like.(Mostly abandoned southern crap and abandoned industrial sites). So I'll be posting alot of 'abandoned places' pics.
Do not mock Jeff the Doom Cow. He is ancient, wise, and knows dark things about stuff.
I must check out these communities. Sounds interesting.

That mountain is a small one. There is another one about five times bigger not far away that goes into the clouds. That place is awesome.
