Got it back this afternoon. It needs a new steering column. Gotta call junk yards, I guess. Lol, no political content whatsoever. Except roundaboutly, in that there's an Obama sticker on my jacked-up car.

I had a car that I never replaced the steering bits on because it turned on my GF that I could start it with a screwdriver.

You can't start it w/o my ignition key with it's special security-dealie in it. It wouldn't turn over with just the key because some asshole fucked that all up in trying to steal it. The guy at the shop showed me how to start it with the key a screwdriver.

If nothing else, it does seem kinda badass :D
