I felt really uncomfortable after watching The Devil Wears Prada. Why? Because I get the strong sense that the satirical commentary about the protagonists "huge" size 6 ass will be lost on thousands of teens. Which begs the following question: Should directors, producers, etc engage in socially responsible film-making?

Agreed. Also the part where she was all proud that she moved from a 6 to a 4. It can become a circular argument -- are writers, directors, etc. just showing how things really are, or are things really like that partly because of writers, directors, producers? A little of both, I think.

Hey... I'm taking the Super Shuttle from my parents'. I have a TON of work to do before I leave, and I have a feeling I'll be burning the midnight oil. Bleh!
