SPN 11 - Family Remains
Gosh. *blinks* So much hate out there. Why? The boys! The boys are back!! \o/
So it wasn't the best ever episode, but it was by no means the worst. Not by a long stretch.
Excellent MOW (humans are always the worst), creepy as all get out, a family that survives (sorry Uncle Ted), a man taking care of his family (he kills the girl) and that family for once believing and thanking Sam and Dean. They haven't had that in a long time!!
My only real complaint for this episode? The lack of Sam interaction in the actual case. I understand that they wanted this to be about Dean's issues, but I don't think Sam would have held back as much as he did, especially when it came to fighting the creepies. He just kinda... left Dean to it and that felt a bit wrong. But Dean is so screwed, and I don't think Sam knows how to handle it.
Also, while I'm happy to accept the points that Dean is making (and get great enjoyment out of Jensen's delivery of said points) re hell, I think he needs to bottle it up for the next few episodes. Get the stoic, Dean Winchester face back on. And if the preview for Ep13 is anything to go by, I think he manages it!
