Via a link on I can has cheez burger, I came across this lovely little story about Marines in Afghanistan rescuing stray kittens.

I'm more of a dog person myself but I do love kitties and this story is just SO DAMN ADORABLE. Had me 'awwwwwww!'-ing all over the place. ♥

Isn't it great? I love seeing strong, butch men being sappy over wee, helpless things. It's such a contrast and just makes me feel all warm and gooey inside.

Lovely pictures and wonderful story. And of course you just *know* that the kittens were helping those men as much as the Marines were helping those kittens.

Sometimes there really is good in the world, and it's nice to be reminded. Thanks for posting, hon. ♥
