Yesterday turned into a rather eventfull day. I was hanging out at the Rec Center like I usually do over the weekends when my boyfriend walked in. Yet again, long time without posting. The ship has been underway again for yet more inspectons, so its been hard to find time when not only am I not busy but the internet is up as well. The ship's telecommunications system sucks. Medical had a huge part in both of the inspections this underway- we've had more MRT drills, patients for GQ, and ( Read more... )

Back out to sea again. I don't quite understand the point of this underway, except possibly just to familiarize the squadrons with the ship. But other than that I have no idea. *Wedding music plays* I am proud to announce the marriage between two of my close friends, Tiffany and David :) They got married yesterday at approximately five thirty in the afternoon. The ship passed Insurv. On Thursday before liberty the CO called everyone into the hangar bay, told us the results of Insurv, and also announced the names of the people who got capped to the next highest rank. Happy Belated Birthday to me... Yep. I turned 20 yesterday. I didn't really do much of anything. We actually had to work on a Sunday inport because of our INSURV inspection this week. Life is good. Two Whitecaps games- one on Saturday(a win) and one yesterday night(a loss). Monday the family pictures and a trip to Olive Garden. Tomorrow I hopefully get to relax, but there might be a trip to a place called Charley's with my grandmother(mom's mom). There is definetly no place like home. The instant we pulled in from more testing on Friday I went on leave. Got home at about 10 this morning, and I think I'm doing a fairly good job of forgetting I'm in the Navy for the moment, and until the 11th when I have to show back up to the ship.
