I loved this particular story, and I love your commentary on it, because it has the same careful observation, scene-setting, and insight. You seem to understand not only what it is like to be Ten, but what it is like to be around him, the attraction one can't but feel, and the way he counts on that without perhaps realizing that's what he's doing.

Anyway, I asked for this fic because it's my favorite of the EB series, because you take a shiny, glossy episode and unpack it so beautifully. Your insight that DT plays Ten as over-the-top charming is a good one: His Doctor is usually charming but the deliberateness of this charm must mean something. There's so much subtle Doctor pyschology here, almost as if Donna sees him more clearly than he does himself. Beautiful.
