He’d always maintained that talking to yourself was a sign of sanity. Now he was the living embodiment of it - there seemed to be another version of him, subtly different, more upbeat, more impulsive, less damaged and despairing - arguing with him inside his own head.

I know! I was searching for the perfect quote for ages and then suddenly there it was - Jo Grant, Three, and the Beatles! So much for RTD claiming he brought pop culture into Doctor Who!

(Have you noticed how all the MattAss icons so far have shown him wearing Tennant's trousers?)

Thank you. But if you think it's interesting now, wait until they DO IT (next chapter)!

Ooohh! I am so loving this. Ten, 10.5, Rose, Donna (*squee*!) and a touch of Beatles at the start? Mmmm. It's my own personal slice of heaven.

Looking forward to more.

It is surprising how many Abbey Road titles, in particular, can be woven into a tongue-in-cheek reunion fic. Next chapter is provisionally titled, "Come Together."

Thank you. This is a reunion, but with a few twists that will hopefully mitigate any tendency to sentimentality. Because, when I looked back over the DW quotes in Wiki, I realised afresh that sentimentality has never been what the show was about. And it was very therapeutic to revel in a collection of Four's glorious one-liners for a while!
