I love Donna's stream of consciousness in this - and even in the midst of meta-crisis she still makes more sense than the Doctor does. I love her telling him that they need to talk, and him instantly telling her that he's listening.

But regenerating... Yes, he did it for Rose and for Wilf and for Peri all those years ago, so why wouldn't he do it for Donna? She's right; he needs her, so very much.

I will just have to pretend he doesn't regenerate into the current Eleven.

I do quite like the idea of Donna and Eleven meeting and adopting little Amelia, though. Probably not enough to write it.

Thank you, yes, I never why he was able to save Rose but not Donna from a very similar threat. And yes, he absolutely, definitely needs her. Badly. And she needs him, too, to save her from that life. So thank you for writing it!

You do realise this means you need to write Eleven and Donna now, don't you? *g*

Oh, I like this! I'd never noticed the parallel between Rose with the Time Vortex and Donna with a Time Lord's consciousness, and how he died to save one but not the other. And Donna, in her wisdom, doesn't want to keep the Time Lord abilities, but to be rid of them.
