One less item on my bucket list to cross off!

So Ridgecrest was hit with a surprise monsoon this morning.  It happen shortly after 9am and the temp was already over 100 and the winds were clocked at 75 mph.  I went out on my front porch with my camera and took a brief video and then posted it on Facebook.  Within minutes, there were over 15 shares.  Within 30 minutes, 2 of the local news

You are really fortunate that nothing was sent flying. Those storms can cause so much damage. I'm glad that you are safe.

We did luck out. There was damage all over town, the Naval base was without power for 19 hours and 3 people were injured (luckily just minor ones)

One of our furniture stores had 1/2 their storefront blown off and were advertising: "Half Off Blow Out Specials! Come see our new inventory of waterbeds."

Gotta love how people kept their sense of humor

The weather was a bit crazy in Ridgecrest, wasn't it??
I hope there haven't been any serious damage!
