I'm a cat person. It shows. That doesn't mean that I don't get along with dog persons. You'll see.
If I friended you, it's because I like your stories, your art or simply your stile. In most cases, I will have left a comment to one of your posts. Although I will be happy if you friend me back, don't feel compelled to do so.
If you friend me, you

Both from this journal, which is my fic/fandom journal, and from my RL one, pingviini which is friends locked for the most part.
I'm a cat person, too. :)

Thanks again for your wonderful review for Footsteps.
And yay for cats and dogs - they are both lovely creatures in their very unique ways.

Anyway, this isn't about me, but about you, and I feel like with both fandom and a profound love for words & writing, we would have a bunch of things to discuss. Und naja, eigentlich sprechen wir ja auch beide Deutsch, aber das ist für mich einfach nicht die Sprache des LJ ;)
Cats person? Definitely. I have neither dog, nor cat, in my modest little home (oh the lack of time), but if I look at my closest friends, I see cats instead of dogs. I see people that are edgy and difficult, and by no means easy to please - but always loyal. My favourite kind, really :)
If you're hesitant, no hard feelings of course. Then regard this as a mere Hello, I appreciate meeting you!
cheers,

I felt the same about friending you for a while, but I wasn't sure if I wasn't too boring. Silly me.
I'm looking forward to discussing fandom and writing with you, and to get to know you better. I hope that you won't mind the RL posts in between.
Und ja, LJ-Sprache ist einfach Englisch. Das passt schon. :-D
I guess my friends span a rather wide range from cats to dogs, but they are all people who have their own ideas about life. Which means, yes, we disagree, but that won't harm our friendship.
Oh, and I haven't forgotten your Birthday Bash fic - my last weeks have just been too full to finish reading it. It's too precious to simply rush through it.

I absolutely don't mind RL posts - the very contrary, I like to get to know you people better :)
And I'm with you there, being able to disagree is just as important for a friendship as the hug without questions.
Ad BDB fic: not a problem of course! I know the trouble with too little time for too many things one would like to do. I'm just relieved you didn't hate it and didn't have the heart to tell me! ;)

I like RL posts for the same reason: I encounter others over fic and art, but I'm interested in the person behind, too.
