it's just sad that they have to exist. i'm really unused to things of this sort hence my strong reaction, but...in a way i don't want to become desensitized to it?
it's not my strongest impression, in fact my impression of americans thus far is that they've all been very nice and welcoming to me, but there are just these rotten people who have to come in and spoil it all. hardly anybody walks here because pretty much everyone owns a car, but there are those of us who can't drive and just have to walk to get to places, and i am still trying to figure out why this whole walking thing would be considered something to make fun of.
That made me cry bbut I think I needed it. If it were the 90s I'd tell you to stay away from construction sights, but I think that was a stereotype because the real jerks are always in cars, I have found.
