Thanks to this octuplet lady, everybody wants to condemn having large families. As the youngest from a large family, I have a biased opinion, but the whole situation is more complex than people claim

There is nothing wrong with a large family as long as you can provide for it and raise everyone properly. This woman is a poster child for everything that is wrong with America right now. People feeling entitled to wanting what they want now without contemplating how to cover their ass or take care of things later down the road and then expecting to be rewarded or bailed out in some manner, or manipulating the system. I have plently of respect for that Jon and Kate plus 8 family and that 17 kid family on TLC because they responsibly handled their situations before landing their TV deals. This woman has no real ability to raise these kids properly and should put them up for adoption, maybe give one to the real Angelina.
Yeah, I think one of the main problems is that this is not only a single parent, but an unemployed one. As for the taxpayer, this woman has already been on food stamps to feed her six other kids, and it looks like it'll cost millions just to keep these babies alive in the hospital. I don't think big families are a bad idea, it just seems like this woman may be a little too... emotionally unbalanced to be a good representative for the cause.
While all this is true, there's a big prejudice against big families and this woman's situation has just unveiled it. People seriously act as though you're not able to properly raise a child because of the amount of kids.
A new complaint sticks in my craw: That the older children will come out better because you have less time for the younger children. In big families, the younger kids are usually the successful ones. Partly because the parents start to figure out what they're doing, but also because the younger ones have learned from the older kids' mistakes.
