The entire Dumbledore death scene was too rushed. It felt very anticlimactic when it should have been one of the most important scenes. Although, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of the Die Hard death scene.
I loved the Unbreakable Vow scene, along with the way he twists Narcissa's hand right before they start the vow. His robes definitely looked different here. When Bellatrix was taunting him, I noticed he looked a lot thinner.
I try so hard to think of him as Snape and not as Alan. The only time I failed (I beleive) was during Ron's hospital scene. His face when Lavender was having her moment? Priceless. I wanted to know what he was thinking having to witness that.
All in all, I would have been happy with a lot less student romance, a lot more epic battle scenes.
Ah, yes, that hospital scene.. I kept watching him but didn't he really remain almost expressionless throughout it?
Someone really needs to compare the Dumbledore fall to Die Hard because what I recall of it, it was very similar. But it all went SO fast it's hard to tell for sure.
Yeah, I could have done with less of the student romance, despite most of it being amusing.
Oh, and I forgot to mention - 2 seconds of Neville?! I guess he wasn't that involved in this book. Obvs.
He did. I was probably making up his reactions to the scene in my head. Sort of an "oh god I can believe I have to be here" kind of thing.
The hand twisting is small, but done in a very theatrical Snape-like manner.
Poor Neville always gets shortchanged in my opinion.
OH! Was it just me, or did Snape not say "It's over" at all? It's one of the biggest parts of the preview and I don't remember hearing it. I may have just missed it.
Snape does say "It's over" in the tower scene. It's just that that whole scene was very different than described in the book. I would have liked a little more blood and guts fighting between the Order of the Phoenix and the Deatheaters. Snape's robes billowing were almost too much for me to handle! "Thud!!!" (Doesn't he look like he needs a hug? OK, maybe a lot more than just a hug!) (The line forms to the left Ladies!)
There was waaaay too much to take in during the first viewing. I was all over the place trying to watch everything. It was so good.
OH. MY. LANTA. The cape in the water! I'm so glad you posted about that because when I saw that I was thinking, "Badass."
I was so glad Alan Rickman got more screen time, it was so wonderful to see more from him in this film. The kid throwing up on him was priceless. AND the hallway scene! Buh! People cat called in my theatre.
The little shush he gives Harry right before he walks up and kills Dumbledore. Chills, people. I got chills.
Did anyone else really want Snape to yell at Harry during those final scenes? Especially when he said, "I am the Half-Blood Prince?" And I reaally wanted him to say, "Don't call me a coward!"
