Website layout!

Making a new portfolio website. Trying to put together for a layout for it. Here are a few ideas... Which one do you guys like better? What do you think?

I voted None of the above, not because I don't like the design, but:
How are you planning on laying this out in terms of actual code? The mockups look cool, but I'm not sure how feasible it would be. At least not in a 'best practices' kind of way.
and:
I know you're going for portfolio site, so you want something at least somewhat professional, right? This kind of layout is cool and unique, but could also go 'unprofessional' if not done right.

...what kind of site are you trying to make, before I sound like even more of a snob? I mean, I prefer clean and simple, content-driven sites. Personally, I think this design is too busy. Especially if you end up adding design examples as content, there might be too much going on.
I think this would be an awesome design for a simple blog, however, especially with your font for the header and something similar for nav.

The CSS Zen Garden, though an old project, is an excellent resource because it shows (usually) really nice design that's based on CSS, rather than strictly images. It's a great ( ... )

I like 1 just because it's simpler than the other two options. I can imagine font getting harder to read on the stripey ones.
