It's taken me forever to come up with a reply for this, and I still don't think I have managed to say everything I want to.  On one hand, I think it's just gorgeous.  I love all the details, from the color of robes and wings down to the cherry wood floor.  Then again, the details are what make it so heartbreaking as well.  Gabriel's eyes are an obvious thing, reflecting the loss of his Grace, but I think it's the feather that really gets to me.  Somehow, going from the purity of white wings to something as harsh and cold as steel blue really drives home the loss of his innocence.  The feather falling to the floor in the end just stomps all over my heart (but in a good way!).

And on an entirely superficial level, I very much like Lucifer being possessive and Gabriel obviously enjoying it. >:3

P.S. - I can totally see Fallen Gabriel and Fallen Uriel playing Good Cop/Bad Cop (or would that be Bad Cop/Worse Cop?) with a errant demon or fallen angel, much to Lucifer's amusement and enjoyment.

It is a very wonderful feeling when the reader gets exactly what you are trying to say. <3 (Though the darkness of the fic and the fact that right now I have only three functioning brain cells sort of numbs it) That, and steel-blue is what I picture Gabriel's wings to be when Fallen because when in Grace, they were white-blue, and soft and soothing, and when Fallen I wanted to keep that blue gleam, but make it look cold, hard and deadly.

xD Gabriel in his current state secretly feels warm and fuzzy inside doesn't even mind too much when Michael gets possessive, though he does smack Michael. ;)

What's Fallen Uriel like, exactly? Anything special I should know about? *eyes the other prompts you chose* I'm not sure I can pull this one off but it sounds fun!

I quite liked the bit toward the beginning where you said his wings look deadlier than any blade.  It made me quite sad, but it was also very foreboding.  In a way, it makes it seem as if Gabriel himself has become a weapon.

Michael probably deserves it. XD

In one word: unhinged.  Also: unpredictable, violent and volatile.  Sometimes he is very easily distracted, other times he will work on things intently for hours or even days - though half the time it's nearly impossibly to figure out what, exactly, he's focused on.  Rather like a cat, actually.

Now that I've written that, I realize how appropriate the cat metaphor is.  More than once he's been engaged in some semblance of a conversation*, only to break off to stare at and track something in the distance - something that others would swear does not exist.  He rarely listens to anyone and is horrible at following orders.  Much like Gabriel, he is very curious and very easily amused.  He loves ripping apart wayward angels playing with feathery things.  Hunting (on horseback, much ( ... )

Yeah :/

xDDD

O_O I remember Mika, Gabby and Rafe!

And OMG, we have the same reasoning when it comes to names! O_O As an angel Gabriel hates being called Gabe because that el is so important to him, but as a Fallen he would say he'd given up the right to be called Gabriel. I suppose he'd be called Gabe.

It does present a rather unsettling picture. O_O Now I'm so unsure of doing your Uri justice.
