…It looks like the Blue Fairy to me.

There does seem to be a discrepancy in the gender balance.

[[THIS IS WHY we are trying to find a gender-neutral pronoun we like :| :| :|]]

Yes. Some people do appear to mix up fairies and angels.

Quite.

[[XDDD]]

…hmm.

It would sort of explain the appearance of angels in some fairy tales, but I'm not coming up with specific examples right now (and it's more… angels appearing as the devices rather than other creatures and it's been peeving me lately). They haven't seemed all that interchangeable to me otherwise, for the most part. Traditions, the functions- angels don't ride and steal kiddies. Further explanation of mix ups, if possible, please?

Societal norms, gaaah.

It's not that comfortable to write, but it's not like zhir name all over would be any better :| :|

You also have a nose, whereas that does not.

[laughs] An astute and accurate observation.

Funny how we're portrayed as everything from vengeful soldiers to...that.

One has to wonder.

And let's not forget the cupids. Apparently you and I are plump little babies fluttering around with tiny wings and, only occasionally, diapers.

*headtilt* I think Miss Jeanie has this one on her mantelpiece.

(D:!) Does it have my name on it?

No, but... *fights back a decidedly unangelic grin* I might be tempted to tell her it reminds me of my brother, next time I see it.

... I think you're beginning to fit the human stereotype of a younger brother.

At least you don't sparkle.

[laughs] Yes, that's certainly something to be thankful for. I'm not quite sure how people can abandon centuries' worth of folklore for a quite frankly badly-written book.

Or reduce God's holy warriors to chubby cherubs with cow eyes and whimsical headgear. Really, whatever have we immortals done to deserve such shabby treatment?

I suppose it could simply be that we're immortal. Humans and their preoccupation with eternal life... Perhaps they console themselves by reducing us to something they wouldn't want to be.

... although from what I hear, people still want to be sparkly vampires. Humans never fail to amaze me.
