book rating system

5/5 = Sublime. A keeper. A favorite. I would bring this book to a desert island. I would marry this book and have its children.
4/5 = Above average. Highly enjoyable, and I will probably re-read it at some point. My book-buying dollar spent well.
3/5 = Good. Worth borrowing from the library or a friend. A pleasant way to spend a few hours.
2/5 = Okay. Not quite good but not quite horrible, either. I might have skimmed to the end.
1/5 = Made me rethink my anti- stance on book burning.

film rating system

5/5 = Sublime. The Godiva chocolate of films. I will watch it over and over until I can recite every line from memory.
4/5 = Above average. I would buy this on DVD.
3/5 = Good. An enjoyable way to kill a couple hours but not terribly memorable.
2/5 = Eh. This was mediocre. I might not have finished watching it.
1/5 = Very very bad. I want all involved in the creation of this movie to suffer as I have suffered.
