Which Doctor Who fandom is this? The one without the tweenie bopper idiots? I would like to be in that fandom, whether it is Doctor Who or any other slice of media. There are idiots in every fandom. If anything Ten/Rose should have "ruined" the fandom because there sure are some idiotic 'shippers out there (and I feel I can say this as a Ten/Rose 'shipper myself
( ... )

I know, rite? That was Major Hilarity.
All especially nerdy fandoms are resistant to change. Nerds are resistant to change. Note the everlasting Kirk/Picard argument. Ten!Fans are a special brand of crazy. I think it's because he is the closest to a handsome, young Doctor we've had. Some of the other Doctors were good-looking in a very offbeat way, but Tennant is the closest the Doctor has come to heartthrob status. And the whole Ten/Rose thing.
Matt Smith's hair should duel Robert Pattinson's hair at some point. That could be a great episode of Doctor Who. Their hairdos are rival alien sleeper agents... or something. I'd watch that.
They do need a new villain now that they have exhausted the daleks and the cybermen (at least for awhile). Perhaps Ten tried to duel with his hair (which is admittedly pretty sweet) but then it couldn't hack it, so he regenerates into Eleven who will wield the Mighty (Sonic) Emo Hair of Doom.
The funny thing is, even Tennant isn't traditionally handsome. Nor. Eccleston. There has never been a traditionally handsome Doctor, and I think it should stay that way. I think the fangirls are going to be all over Eleven though after a few episode. He looks like he might have ~*feelings*~ (I tease, but in the interview I saw he was actually cute, quirky, and belieavably Doctor-ish. Just... the RPattz hair and the pale skin and the skinny jeans... I can hear the shrieks now).
They really have punched their card on the cybermen and daleks. Seriously. We've had our fill of cybermen and daleks for at least half a season, perhaps more. They could bring back those aliens that look like mannequins, I suppose. Those things are creepy. I don't think they've even had then since the premiere episode of Series 1.
Tennant is soooooooooo not traditionally handsome. He comes closer than Eccleston, but no. I agree the fangirls will be all over him soon enough. Especially if he has a ~*~young pretty~*~ companion a la Rose. Yeah if the Doctor has skinny jeans with a white belt and shoes, I will throw something at the screen.
