Anybody into Twitter? Or know someone who is? I've always avoided it because it seems like LJ or Facebook taken to the next level of mind-numbing inanity. Am I missing something? Because this video pretty much illustrates my thoughts on Twitter better than I could articulate.

I use Twitter, but only if I'm bored or I have random thoughts that don't really warrant an entry. Most of my beautiful thoughts cannot be contained in 140 characters.

I just don't get the appeal. Is it because you can update from your phone or something? Not that you can't do that with facebook or lj or whatever. Does anyone use it for anything other than "I just ate Froot Loops" and the like?

It does take a lot less effort than updating LJ, so it appeals to the lazy side of people. So if people want to throw a quick thought out there or comment on something while on the bus they can do so without much hassle. People also use Twitter to follow celebrities. I don't follow many, but following Conan O'Brien has brought me much joy. But it could never replace LJ for me. Nor could Tumblr. I still don't completely understand Tumblr, but I like the pretty and lulzy pictures I see.

I could understand wanting to follow celebrities, especially if they are particularly clever or amusing (e.g., Conan). And some regular people might have some amusing thoughts, but I figure most people would tweet mundane things. I know I would. Ha.

I do not twitter, mostly because mine would mostly be things like: "I need a new job" and "I could really go for some chocolate right now" and really who wants to read that? I have considered it mostly so I could follow cool celebs, so maybe one day.

More importantly, I miss Tiff. Can we have a play date or something soon?

I don't tweet. I don't know how to keep the things I want to post short and sweet enough for Facebook, let alone twitter.

I've considered getting one, but I really wouldn't have much to say. I think people have one mainly to follow certain celebrities, which is what I would probably use it for too. I know Ellen Degeneres uses hers for contests because she's always talking about it on her show.
