The last book in the Fairyland series, The Girl Who Raced Fairyland All the Way Home, comes out today.

I think I am for sure going to cry when I finish this book. I've loved Fairyland since Palimpsest, and I've loved reading through every adventure as you write it. I won't be able to say so on the book tour (you're skipping DC!) so thank you. Thank you for writing this, it has been a pleasure.

Oh. Oh my.

I don't check Livejournal very often these days, but when I popped in today and saw this announcement on my feed, tears sprang into my eyes. I remember first falling into Fairyland by chance when September's story came in once-a-week updates on the website, and waiting anxiously for each new installment. I was in - man, was it high school? - back then, and I'm well on in a Serious Adult Job now, but wow...

I can't really express how magical it felt to read each new chapter every week, and hearing that September's story has ended after all these years is bringing all those feelings rushing back.

I can't wait to read this book. I just know I'm gonna cry a lot, haha.
