LIFE Magazine ran an article on a device to project sound directly to the nervous system back in the 1950s. If the original "Neurophone" had worked as well as advertised, the Deaf would probably be using it. However, it's a safe bet that the CIA has been making improvements on it for the past half-century.

This new form of invasive advertising (obsolete military technology finally being released into the wild?) is just one more compelling reason to stay away from crowded public places!

Wonder if it's the same tech as was used against the Greenham Common peace camp, all those years ago? I heard descriptions from too many women to dismiss it as auto-suggestion or paranoia.
