Yay, thank you! I totally believe (with slash goggles firmly on) that Tony's been in love with McGee since not long after they met only he doesn't understand it and isn't quite sure what to do with it. I don't care what the writers want me to believe about Ziva!
Tony's middle initial makes an appearance on the show. You want me to tell you if you're right or not? Or do you prefer uncertainty? :D
You have just rescued my Sunday and turned it from something fairly depressing to a thing of joy and beauty. For this I thank you.
Really such a fabulous fic - love the way you capture Tony's slow realisation that he has known how he felt about McGee all along. When I watch the show that's how I read it - Tony is entirely in love with McGee but has no idea, and McGee, well his self-esteem issues mean that he has no idea that Tony *could* ever be in love with him so he does his best to pretend he doesn't care.
Rescuing Sundays is always a good thing. Thank you! I'm delighted you enjoyed it.
And, yes, I read the show in exactly the same way. Tony's so bounce bounce look at me look at me look at this cool worm I just found Tim, Tim, Tim, you're so AWESOME. I love it. Although I'm also prepared to make the argument that they figure it out in S5 and are effectively married by S6. (They can be polyamorous, that way canon need never bother us. Heh.)
