I had this weird urge to write Tim and Tony meeting for the first time as little kids, and then I remembered it was Remembrance Sunday (I know you US guys do Veterans Day on the 11th) and somehow this was what came out. The title is from the poem,

Anyway, this was sweet and heartbreaking and...utterly hilarious in parts/

I was just like this when I was five. Except, actually I wanted to be an X-Wing pilot, so that I could be Luke's wing man and we could blow up Imperial TIE fighters together. (Stop looking at me like that.) I got such a kick out of wee!Tim, I can't even tell you. (And his dad is awesome, I want to give him a hug. Except I also kind of want to hit him for scaring his son over being sailor and for taking him to a funeral when he's freaking five but hey, no one's perfect and then Timmy Tim would have never met Tony. So it's okay.) Again, sweet and heartbreaking.

I think your five-year-old ambition was AWESOME. Aim high, that's what I say. (Tim's dad wants to do right, he just doesn't always manage it. *pets him*)
