Is it insult or injury?

My car just died, too.

*waits for towing service*

[edit]
Okay, the tow truck showed up early. The driver thought it was a failed battery, more than some nastily expensive electrical problem. I got to Pep Boys about 7 minutes before they closed, got a new battery, and the car appears to behave normally.

But still!

I'd get the alternator and voltage regulator checked because battery(-ies) dying are a symptom of problems there (along with fluctuating light brightness and turn signal blink timing). Or it could just be a dead battery.

car problems suck, but in the range of things that have been going on for you: it's small stuff. And now that you've got your new battery, you should be good to go: fixable stuff can be... well... fixed.

{hugs} anyhow. You don't deserve more crap laden on you.

Did a black cat cross your path as you wended your way under a ladder, surprising you and causing you to drop a mirror AND step on a crack?!?
