I've always thought growing one's own produce would be awesome, and think it's very cool you're so adept at this. I hope you one day have a space in which you can grow things again.

As to Fred and his potatoes: Methinks you two should have written up a contract, signed by a notary, obligating him to take at least three quarters of your potato crop.

You have more patience for Fred than I would have-- I would have dumped the potatoes on his doorstep, since he promised that he and his wife would really eat all of them!

and have always found that harvesting them from the supermarket was an acceptable practice.
Hahaha! Particularly for things you don't eat much of and that are not expensive, this is an excellent solution.

I'm surprised he had the nerve to suggest the potatoes again, let alone several more times! Yikes.

He had a bit of a problem with that type of behavior. Probably he still does, but I no longer have to see it.

Thank you. You would have loved my tomatoes. I could really grow some awesome ones. I don't usually brag, and I hope it doesn't come off like that, but I was proud of my yard and the veggies I rew.
