NaArMaMo 2015 - day 28

Another giraffe today! This one is drawn in pencil on scratch paper during break time at work, inspired by the cover of my current read, 'Circling the Sun.' If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it.

I love it -- I really like the way you got the pattern of the coat...

P.S: who wrote the book?

Thank you so much! I gave this one to the giraffe loving co-worker that I gave the earlier giraffe picture to. :-)

The author is Paula McLain, it's the novelized story of Beryl Markham, an early aviator.

The giraffe is lovely with the pattern of sun and shade on his coat implying the rest of the tree beautifully. I am also admiring the perspective in the background landscape.

Giraffe! I love giraffes. I like the confident pose and expression on your giraffe especially.

Me too, they are just so graceful and seem so self-confident! Of course, if something goes after them, they can run quickly on their long legs, and if cornered by an enemy, I've heard they give one hell of a kick!
