I finally got my dual monitor setup to work on Fedora 10. This is one area where Micro$oft are still ahead in terms of ease of getting it to work.

Now I need to find the tuit to get my desk organised to be able to use them properly.

Since we've been back in the house, we've been aware of the presence of mice in the house. I reset all the mousetraps in the loft and the cats have been on alert. This morning the shower contains evidence of the third mouse since we've been back. The rest of it is contained in a pile of cat yak on the kitchen floor.

I just upgraded my Aspire One to 1.5GB of RAM. I had a spare 1GB SODIMM of the correct spec so I sat down with a HOW-TO article and did the job.

ETA: OK, I actually had two spare SODIMMs, the other I just put into my old Inspiron 1300, which also now has 1.5GB of RAM (up from 768MB).

Safely back in the UK

OK, cats now safely in the quarantine kennel in the UK. Let's hope that the two older ones can come home with us when we go to collect them and there hasn't been a glitch in that part of the paperwork.
