Her boss got them rather last minute and couldn't go so passed them on to her. I wasn't first pick but was first available to go with her (lucky me!)

Afterwards she called her boss and yelled "What did you send us to?!" Personally I loved it!

I saw them a couple of years ago and had both of your reactions. They are definitely strange and not your typical show, but still really enjoyable if you let go of expectations and just ride with it.

It reminded me vaguely of MUMMENSCHANZ which I saw when I was a child.
