I agree wholeheartedly with you on this. It is sad that there is a desire for this kind of contraceptive but the powers-that-be don't hear it. I think it would be awesome for a male contraceptive to be put on the market - the more options, the better.

No music?? Are you really my Steph?

I can understand the desire for this sort of approach to the problem. However, I have a few concerns.

Taking the step of moving from a removable physical implement such as a condom to an injection such as this is a big step psychologically and biologically. Does male fertility suffer in the long run due to use of this injection? What are the side effects? It seems that all drugs go through phases where at the outset, they are touted as the be-all, cure-all, gradually shifting over the course of ten or twenty years to the search of what new problems can be pinned to the very same drug.

Plus there's the clinical factor. It's sometimes hard enough to get guys to go to the doctor's office when something is going wrong. How many guys do you think will show up when stuff is working right?

I'm not sure I'd use it, myself. Then again, I'm not out having promiscuous, random sex, am I?

(For reference purposes, the correct answer to the above is "No.")
