Here are a few cakes I've either made myself or helped on.
This first one was a grooms cake we did at work a few weeks ago. I got to make the Shoe on top. My boss did the shoebox part. The labels on the shoebox were custom with the wedding date and bride and grooms names.
The shoe is a Nike Air Jordan CMFT Viz Air 13, the grooms favorite pair of kicks.
I love that I got to put so much detail into it.
It took me about a week and a half to make it. It is rice treats with fondant. The trick is letting each layer dry before doing the next.
Ok here is the one I did Saturday night. It took a couple of hours to pipe all the ruffles. It was what the bride wanted, but I think it looks like a big pink Toilet Paper Cozy Dolls dress. You know the kind your grandma had on the back of the toilet. With all that buttercream, it weighed a TON.
This was a Mini Mouse cake. The lady showed us a photo of what she wanted. I just made it look neater then the one in the photo. *shrugs*
And this one is a 50th Wedding Anniversary cake I did for my In-Laws. It was made to look like their wedding cake from 50 years ago. The toppers are the ones they had on their wedding cake. It took about 5 min. to decorate it.
