That isn't supposed to be a not-so-subtle criticism of Keira Knightly's acting in the latest remake of P&P. The whole thing was actually very good. I did, however, come home & have nightmares of the kind which I certainly wouldn't watch if they were a movie, so what my unconscious is trying to tell me, I don't know

Brr, my brain has people-eating babies who I then turn into, and everybody turning into giant insects except me, and huge creepy old hotels where all the floors are carpetted in spiders. Brr, I don't want those worlds to exist!

Random food for breakfast is a good cure. Yep.

But I'm not sure I want my mind to write neat beginning-middle-horrifying end stories for me to watch in my sleep, either.

the light switch thing is very interesting. it's mean to be the classic test, when you're not sure if you're lucid dreaming or experiencing reality, to see if you can switch on a light or not. if you're not able to turn on the lights (for whatever reason) then you're dreaming. thankfully for you, on this basis, it seems you were!

the odd thing is that, from my limited experience of lucid dreaming, it does actually appear to work.

...unless, of course, this is all just a dream !

Yeah, it was something of a relief >_< My dreams are usually much more prosaic - like I get up and brush my teeth, or have to go grocery shopping. I think I prefer it that way. I wish I could lucid dream but as soon as I realise I'm dreaming, I wake up. :( Sounds rather fun though.
