If you stand down by the lake at the bottom of our road, you can see Mont Blanc.

You're a pretty good photographer. You seem to find interest in really boring subjects.

I love the way, in the first shot, you sort of aren't sure whether or not you can see the faintest hint of land on the horizon. It's quite hallucinatory. And it's a good dreamlike image anyway.

The second shot makes dullness interesting through good composition. I love the way the hint of sky in the top right hand corner makes the whole landscape warp - almost giving a weird 'curvature of the earth' effect.

Oh, and the sun on both is captured nicely too.

And the final shot - beautiful composition again and lovely muted colours. One of the nicest shots I've seen of what should be boring old hedges (and a hint of snow?).

I keep meaning to post some photos sometime... I have so many.
Maybe I should set up a flickr account when I find time...

Thank you for the (very complimentary!) feedback :) I'd love to see some of your shots.

If you've got a paid account, then you should have a scrap book, which is what I use. It lets you upload photos to it directly from the jounal entry page, which is handy.

Oh and - yes, it is a hint of snow.

yes, I have a paid account... you bought me it, if you remember!!! :o)

best present ever! (well, one of them)

I have used the scrapbook once - for my monkey/furby sex photo, if you remember that one!

I will upload some (sensible) photos sometime - but (as with everything else) it's a matter of finding the time to do it.
