I'm always a little wary of people who say they're "very" anything. Partly because it's boasting, and that's Not Done, but mostly, it's because I usually don't believe them

Interesting. I'm not sure I know many people who actually call themselves 'very' anything, 'cept maybe as in 'I'm not very...', or 'I'm very bad at...'. Don't think I generally say I'm 'very' anything, usually I don't think that I'm a suitable judge for me.

Yeah, me neither, which is perhaps why I find it bugs me so (very) much!
