I've planted two Jiffy Greenhouses full of pretty little flowers. The first contains alyssum, ornamental grass (can't remember the exact name) and catnip. After four days, everything has sprouted except for the grass. I've never grown anything before, so this is exciting news for me

The only reason I haven't jumped all over the greenhouse is that we have other projects that need taken care of before we spend $250 to grow some vegetables.

So for now I wanna repaint and work on the interior and get the future garden area fenced off so it'll be all prepared next year -- and with less flowers to plant and gravel to move, a vegetable garden won't be so much work and we can talk seriously about a greenhouse.

Aw! Just reading this post makes me super excited. :) There's an unused and abandoned garden plot in Lindi's backyard, and a few weekends ago we spent a couple of hours weeding and tilling the soil. The next day it got cold and rainy, but the nice weather has finally come back! We're going to plant lettuce, kale, swisschard, sugar snap peas, green beans and basil. I'm ridiculously enthused.
