I'd really like to do something similar. Unfortunately 20six won't let me on my bastard of an old blog.

This, for some reason, had been pasted into an unlinked page of my Geocities. I was having a browse on it up until the wee hours and some of the things I'd crammed into every nook and cranny of that website were really odd.

20six isn't doing much to endear itself to anybody at the moment, is it? I'd've quite liked to be retrospective about other peoples' lifeworks.

If only my sister wrote anything vaguely resembling this in HER diary, I'd be tempted to steal it and read it more regularly.

I particularly like the MSN installation entry; it seems like one of those life metaphors you hear in motivational seminars.

Yes! and it was still quite a jawdropping invention at the time. I don't think it'd break my heart for that to happen now, though. Msn was better back when online hours were rationed.

My brother doesn't have diaries for me to steal; only transfer lists and match reports. More eloquent than my efforts, I'm sure.

So that was the original chicken-spewing incident! I only ever heard (or read, more likely) it referred to later.

Actually it's the fondest memory I have of that hideous canteen. I'd forgotten about the chicken burgers too. They were rock hard, but so cheap. I used to get them in tasteless rolls of bread then save up the change from my dinner money. That or butterless crackers. My, I'd forgotten all the intricacies of those far-off school dinners.

All I remember from school dinners is people trying to make bits of cucumber stick to the ceiling and other equally gross things. You always had to be a bit careful stuff wouldn't fall into your food from its sticking-place above your head. But that was a million (i.e. ten) years ago.

I'm sorry to dredge up the Crowden incident. It was a good way for you to get to know people, at the time. "Chenade? Ohhhh, the one who -". Better than being Mrs Foster's Daughter.
