I used to think that "Food, Beer, Spirts" written on restaurant/bars meant that they were in good spirits there, and it was an advertisement for a positive place to gather. Then I found out it just meant liquor. I wish I had been right though.

although... the new zealand navy that visited our base made it seem like all of them were in good spirits when they came by... all drunk, and they had what seems like an infinite supply of 'spirits' in their ship. it was crazy. you should enlist to new zealand navy.

I didn't expect the places to actually always be positive or whatever, I just wish that that was something they advertised. Like "come here for a fun time" basically.
